This region hosts the Etosha National Park as well as the Kavango and Caprivi. The region stretches from the Caprivi in the east up to the Angolan border in the north and Kamanjab in the west. In the south the regions border runs between Okahandja and Otjiwarongo (Waterberg area). The north western area around Ovamboland (Oshakati) is not used by hunting outfitters as this area is highly populated.

This area is known for big game hunting around Etosha, Kavango and the Caprivi. Elephant, lion and buffalo is available in these specific areas with some outfitters.

The rest of the region is plains game hunting with either rifle or bow. Plains game such as kudu, oryx, eland, impala, springbuck, hartebeest, warthog, blesbuck, giraffe, ostrich, hyena and leopard is available here.

This area is also known for tiger fishing safaris in the Kavango and Caprivi.
